These words summed up completely how it is for me being an artist

I have a gift, a talent, an ability and it is my obligation to respond to this ability

I painted this one with an obsessive frenzy, I couldn't stop until I had finished. I worked quickly to acheive the effect and my arm ached for days afterwards

COMPULSION

The state of being compelled.

I can sit with a blank canvas for days until I get a compulsion,

a reaction coming from a higher source of creative energy.

It travels from within, out on to the canvas

ULTRAVIOLET

For this painting I used the deepest darkest purple and blended it with an irridescent medium.

It had an ultraviolet affect on the colour, especially where it pops out of the black, not to mention how luminescent it is in the right light
